With or without the top option installed, the opening at the top of our blind can be made as wide or narrow as YOU prefer. This is easily determined and set during installation. You should realize that although our competitor’s over-the-head closed top blinds may give you some additional overhead weather protection not provided by our top, they can also severely limit your ability to have a 360 degree view or to be able to shoot in any direction as needed. Their style top will also often flare off incoming ducks because of all of the movement and noise that is unavoidable when opening their top up to shoot. We have found, and no doubt you have also, that ducks don’t always come to us from the expected direction. Therefore your ability to be able to quickly shoot at that ‘surprise duck’ that suddenly appears over your decoys or behind you gives our blind a valuable advantage over blinds that require you to open or move the top before shooting—and even then often your shooting is limited to only one direction. Our new non-mechanical top option gives you all of the advantages of our original open-top blind while allowing you to fully conceal the interior of your boat from overhead view. With or without our top installed, our blind allows you to slip your shotgun up and be ready to shoot without any noise or excessive movement, thereby giving you a first shot at incoming ducks that are totally unaware of your presence. Our top option adapts instantly to accommodate 1,2,3 or more hunters in your boat by having openings only where needed and concealing everything else or it can be left completely open and totally out of the way. Our top adds less than 5 pounds to the blind and can be added to any existing Easy-Up blind without modification to the blind. The blind will still set up and fold down in 10 seconds and it will take an additional 30 seconds or so to close the top.
